"I had never given much thought to creating edited versions of any of our songs, until our friend Blake approached me about helping him submit music to a film contest...one of the criteria was that the song had to be no more than five minutes long.

'Vara' being our most filmic tune, I challenged myself to make a contest-worthy edit of the song and honestly think this captures the essence of the song without you really missing much from the full version.

I submitted it rather quietly (don't even think I mentioned it to the guys), and it won absolutely nothing...but at the end of it all we had this amazing 'single' version."
